Program includes completely ecstatic kirtans/bhajans, plays, classical and folk dances, abhishek, prasadam feast, spiritual books, moon bounce for kids and much more. This is the biggest celebration of the year with a lot of chanting, feasting and dancing. As usual all are welcome regardless of religious/spiritual tradition.

Potomac Temple Special Parking Notification
Please note that due to the Janamastami Festival, the following special
parking arrangements have been made. Please follow these instructions to help manage the traffic. We appreciate your patience and cooperation. From Saturday, August, 23rd 2008 6pm-2am and Sunday, August 24th 2008 6pm-2am there will be no parking in front of the temple on Oaklyn Drive or any side streets. We are expanding our parking capacity and this parking will be available on a first come, first serve basis on our property and at other parking areas. Overflow parking will be at Avenel Park on Oaklyn Dive and Potomac Elementary School on River Road. Shuttle vans will run from these lots to the Temple. When it is determined that our lots are full, we ask that you please go directly to these overflow lots and wait at the shuttle stops for the vans to bring you to the festival. To cover the costs of these new improvements for your safety and convenience, we will request a nominal parking fee of $5 per car. We request all the devotees to park legally and be considerate of all the residents of the neighborhood.
