Who is Lord Nityananda?

According to Gaudiya-Vaishnava tradition Sri Nityananda was an incarnation
of Balarama, with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu being his eternal brother and friend,
Krishna.
He is famous as being the 'most merciful' incarnation of the Supreme
Personality of Godhead.
